Charlie Bartlett had a certain charm to it that completely sucked me in. I loved the mom played by Hope Davis, she was great alcoholic clueless rich mother. One of the best mother son scenes is the one where they are playing the piano and singing together, it was very bazaar and charming. If you are looking for a funny teen fluf piece give Charlie Bartlett a shot!

And did you not just love Robert Downey Jr? I actually thought this was pretty great…not so much fluff as it was slightly reminiscent of Pump Up the Volume from the 90s.
